Biden and Abbas

U.S. Vice-President Biden reportedly presented Palestinian leader Abbas with yet another generous peace initiative, only to be turned down.

Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas rebuffed a generous plan for a resumption of peace talks suggested Wednesday by U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden, reports indicate.

According to a report in the Palestinian newspaper Al Quds, cited by Times of Israel, “the deal offered a settlement construction freeze and a Palestinian capital in ‘East Jerusalem’ in exchange for recognition of Israel as a Jewish state and the relinquishment of Palestinian rights to return to live in Israel.”

It was one of many generous offers suggested to the Palestinian leadership and rejected over several years. Negotiations between the PA and Israel, brokered by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, ended in failure in 2014.

Biden, who arrived in Israel on Tuesday at approximately the same time as three Palestinian terror attacks took place within about an hour, wounding several people and claiming the life of American tourist Taylor Force, criticized the Palestinian leadership for not condemning the acts of terror. In fact, the Palestinian Authority (PA) incites terror and glorifies so-called “martyrs,” as noted several times by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and documented by media watchdogs.

Petition to the United States and European Union

We demand that all funding of the PA be stopped immediately. The brutal murder of Israelis committed by Palestinian terrorists throughout Israel is the latest result of ongoing PA incitement against Israeli citizens. Funding the PA means funding terror.
