Amano responded that it was the IAEA’s duty to aid Iran in developing its peaceful nuclear technology.

Iran’s president said his country expects international assistance in developing its nuclear technology, Tehran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency reported on Monday.

President Hassan Rouhani made this comment during a meeting with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano, saying he wanted the IAEA’s help in the matter.

Amano responded that it was the IAEA’s duty to aid Iran in developing its peaceful nuclear technology. He added that the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action created more room for this type of cooperation between the nuclear agency and Tehran.
