A year later, ZAKA members recount the horror of October 7th and reflect on how the past year has impacted them.

In the heart of Israel, the Kibbutz Be'eri community grapples with the haunting aftermath of an October 7 attack by Hamas, a tragedy that has left physical and emotional scars on this close-knit society.

During their meeting, Herzog presented Douglas with a yellow hostage pin and a dog tag with the words, 'Our heart is held captive in Gaza.'

On October 7th, Aviad Bachar and his daughter Hadar endured unfathomable horrors.

The trio took an armored truck and began going house to house, finding residents to rescue.
