Terror groups are to blame for the suffering of the residents of the Gaza Strip, Jason Greenblatt said, adding that UNRWA has failed the Palestinian people.

Prior to a UN Security Council debate on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a moment of silence was held in memory of synagogue shooting victim Lori Kaye.

'The struggle for freedom is the breath of life, and it ensures the existence of the Jewish people,' Danon stated.

While it may appear that the Palestinians are slowly managing to achieve their goal of full UN membership, the likelihood of this happening remains slim.

'UNESCO is manipulated by Israel’s enemies and continually singles out the Jewish state for condemnation,' said Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon.

'If Hezbollah dares to attack Israel, it will bring ruin to Lebanon,' Danon warned.

Addressing the UN on the 71st anniversary of the vote to recognize a Jewish state, Danon  set out three conditions that would lead to a new era in the region.

'A terrorist organization going to the UN for assistance is like a serial killer asking the police for assistance,' Israel's UN envoy said. 

Despite opposition from the Arab block, the vast majority of UN member states supported an Israeli resolution promoting entrepreneurship and development.

‎'Bolivia ‎tramples women’s rights and invites the head of an ‎anti-Israel group to speak at the UN, all while ‎talking about women’s rights and peace,' Danon said.

'UNESCO is a body based on lies and biases, and is deliberately acting against us,' Israel's ambassador to the UN charged.

Danon accused Corbyn of being 'an anti-Semite who wants to return Britain to darker periods in its history.'

The Rosh Hashana 'Tashlich' ceremony 'is an opportunity for the UN to look inward and conduct some soul-searching,' Danon stated.

'The US has done a very important thing by halting the financing for the refugee perpetuation agency known as UNRWA. It is finally beginning to resolve the problem,' Netanyahu stated.

'The victims of terror attacks, along with the uniformed soldiers who fell in defense of the country, have a place in our hearts; they will never fade from our memory,' said Ambassador Danon. 

Al-Hussein 'never missed a chance to invent falsehoods and lies when it comes to Israel,' Danon charged. 

The exhibit contains before and after photos of nature reserves, fields and agricultural lands hit by hundreds of arson weapons launched into Israel from Gaza.

Israel’s Agency for International Development believes in the power of cooperation, fraternity and mutual assistance, sending aid to the all corners of the world and helping train thousands of individuals in dozens of countries during its 60-plus years of existence.

Israel 'will continue to defend our citizens and our territory from any threat or violation of our sovereignty,' Danon told the UN.

'Today’s resolution explicitly condemned terrorists for the despicable double war crime of hiding behind women and children while attacking civilians,' Danon stated. 

'From Syria to Yemen, the Iranian regime sows violence and bloodshed throughout the region and supports terror in almost every country,' Danon said.

Netanyahu thanked the Americans for 'their courageous decision against the hypocrisy and the lies of the so-called UN Human Rights Council.'

The UN General Assembly rejected a US proposal to condemn Hamas and accepted a Palestinian initiative to censure Israel.

In an unprecedented vote, the UN backed a US amendment denouncing Hamas attacks on Israel but then blocked it on a technicality. However, it was swift to condemn Israel for defending itself.

Will the UN pass up another opportunity to criticize Hamas' practice of targeting Israeli civilians with rocket attacks?

The US vetoed a UNSC resolution that would harm Israel's security as member countries refused to condemn Hamas for their attacks on the Jewish state. 

'In the interest of restoring calm and protecting civilians on both sides of the fence, I request that you strongly condemn Hamas and hold the terrorist organization accountable for these latest attacks,' Danon told the UN.

Israel’s Mission to the UN held a special event celebrating 70 years of Israeli civil society innovation and the Jewish state's contributions to the world.  

'Israel is the best show in town, and we are only in the first act. The best is still yet to come.'

An Israeli-based international, non-profit organization that saves lives by improving cardiac care for children from developing countries was awarded the 2018 UN Population Award.

'I call on all UN officials to condemn Hamas for encouraging violence, promoting instability and for the despicable act of exploiting women and children by placing them in harm’s way,' Danon said. 

'The Council must condemn Hamas for its exploitation of children as human shields, risking their lives,' Danon demanded of the UN.

'Abbas has once again revealed his true intentions as he directly pays hundreds of millions of dollars to terrorists with blood on their hands,' Danon charged.

Some 60 ambassadors from four continents attended an Israeli-hosted "model Seder" in the United Nations headquarters.

On International Water Day, Israel presented solutions to the global water crisis that could benefit all mankind. 

Danny Danon, Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked were quick to celebrate Trump's appointment of John Bolton as US national security adviser.

'We'll continue to tell the truth and speak the truth everywhere, including in the United Nations,' Netanyahu stated.

'The historical truth is the best answer to the attempts to dispute the eternal connection between the Jewish people and their capital,' said Ambassador Danon.

Israeli leaders welcomed the announcement that the US will move its embassy to Jerusalem in May, to coincide with Israel’s 70th anniversary, while Arab figures expressed anger.
