In a recent speech, the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña Palacios, announced a firm commitment to Israel and promised to move the Paraguayan embassy to Jerusalem.
"Papua New Guinea is a big country with big opportunities. And I think that the fact that you have an embassy here will enable us to realize all these potentials," says Netanyahu.
'We believe that our cooperation can help not only advance our relations, but it is also part of Israel's coming back to Africa and Africa coming back to Israel,' said the Israeli premier.
The planned move was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, but will get underway with the expected arrival of an Israeli ambassador in the coming days, says Honduran Foreign Minister Lisandro Rosales Banegas.
Czech President Milos Zeman recently reinforced country's support of Israel’s fight against terror and even proposed relocation of their embassy to Jerusalem.
