Tu B’Shvat is the Jewish New Year for trees. It is a joyful day in Israel when both children and adults go on tree-planting and agricultural field trips.

“When Hamas attacked, we got a call saying that [the farmers] needed help bad, so we ended up coming … early,” one cowboy explained. “We’re just here to help the Jewish people any way we can.”

Among the revolutionary agricultural technology unveiled at an Israeli conference last week were fruit-picking drones, which may be coming to a farm near you soon.
