As poverty continues to rise in Israel, worsened by the ongoing conflict since October 7th, the Israeli NGO Meir Panim is taking significant steps to address the urgent needs of those impacted.
A Bar-Ilan University professor is presenting her study, which was successful in reducing child obesity in the city of Leeds, to the British Parliament.
'This initiative has resulted in real change that is clearly motivated by a sense of empathy for the needy,' said the mayor of a northern Israeli town.
"It was painful to see this exhausted father, pregnant mother and weeping children living this way. I walked in and immediately saw the fear in their eyes."
