Hebron terror

In the second terror incident of the day, a Palestinian rammed his car into a junction near Hebron, wounding three border police – one seriously.

Three Border Police were wounded Sunday afternoon in a Palestinian car terror attack when a speeding vehicle drove into them at the Beit Anoun junction near Hebron.

One of the officers sustained serious head injuries and was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in the capital, according to Magen David Adom, Israel’s medical emergency service. The others, lightly injured, were treated at Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek hospital.

The driver fled the scene but turned himself in hours after the incident, claiming it was a hit-and-run. He is being investigated by the Shin Bet – Israeli Security Agency.

It was the second attack at that location on the same day. Earlier, a terrorist tried stabbing a Jewish civilian. The assailant was shot dead by security at the scene.
