The Dudevan commando unit was started in 1986 to operate within populated areas, including towns in Judea and Samaria.

Dudevan soldiers operate openly and hidden among the Arab population.

This commando unit is involved stopping potential terrorist attacks as well as arresting those who have murdered Israelis.
