Jews around the world enjoyed the lively dancing and festivities on Simchat Torah, including in Tel Aviv of course!

The festive holiday of Simchat Torah is the finale to the week-long festival of Sukkot.

The day, which completes the reading of the entire Torah throughout the year, is one of the most festive Jewish holidays.

As part of the celebrations, the people dance with the Torah scrolls. A prominent component of the dancing is to go in circles around the altar or Torah reading table. These circle dances are called “Hakafot,” and at least seven such circles must be made.
