Renowned legal expert Alan Dershowitz, a staunch defender of Israel, may sue UC Berkley for denying him the right to speak on campus.
Retired Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, author of The Case for Israel and other books defending the Jewish state, is threatening to sue UC Berkley if his scheduled appearance on campus to address students on Israel is blocked.
Dershowitz, a proponent of the two-state solution, had planned to deliver a lecture on October 10 on “The Liberal Case for Israel,” organized by the Chabad Jewish Student Center and Tikvah, a pro-Israel campus club. The school is now claiming that eight weeks’ notice was required.
In this video, Dershowitz, a leading defender of civil liberties, explains why this is “content-based discrimination” as well as his plan of action if prevented from delivering his address.
