A former Iranian defense advisor quickly regretted his recent appearance on Al-Jazeera after an Egyptian-American expert exposed the Islamic Republic for “destroy[ing] Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon.”

Egyptian-American political analyst Magdi Khalil, President of the Middle East Freedom Forum, slammed Iranian researcher Amir Mousavi, a former advisor to the Iranian Defense Minister, who recently claimed on Al-Jazeera that the U.S. “is finished” because its international prestige has diminished, making it a “rogue state.

Khalil quickly roasted Mousavi for his “laughable” comments, exposing the destructive and ultimately doomed path of Iran’s Shiite “resistance axis.”
