Apollonia National Park is located north of Herzliya Pituah on the coastal plains and contains the ruins of a Crusader city from nearly 800 years ago.
Apollonia was excavated in recent years, revealing an impressive Crusader fortress that is the centerpiece of the park. It was built between 1241 and 1265 and serves as a testimony to the strength of the city in its day.
This video is the latest in a series from Amir Aloni who takes us on gorgeous scenic tours of iconic locations in Israel for the sake of showing how beautiful the land is.
