Fatah Official Salwa Hudaib says Palestinians are not bound by the peace promises to which they obligated themselves in the Oslo Accords.
Former Knesset member Moshe Feiglin noted that before the 1993 Oslo Accords, “There was no Separation Fence in Israel; there was not a huge store of missiles, and rockets in the Gaza Strip and there were not security guards at the entrance to every café, shopping mall or kindergarten.”
Under heavy international pressure, Israel agreed, under Oslo: to allow thousands of Palestinian terrorists to relocate from Tunisia to Israel; to provide them with some 50,000 machine guns; and to give them money (1.2 billion dollars per year) and land necessary to set up military bases in Gaza, Judea and Samaria.
All of this was in exchange for a promise of peace, a promise which could be cancelled at any moment and which was never realized as Palestinian leaders continued inciting and funding terrorism and promising that “Oslo” was just the beginning of a “phased plan” to destroy the Jewish state.
Terror attacks worsened and Israelis were forced to pay over $250 billion in added security costs and economic losses. Now, Palestinian Authority Revolutionary Council member Salwa Hudaib announced, “I say, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Fatah movement, that we are not bound by the Oslo Accords.”
Since they are not bound, will they return the land, money and guns?
