Last Tuesday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted a harsh rebuke to people who do not follow social distancing requirements to thwart the spread of the coronavirus. The mayor singled out the “Jewish community” for condemnation based on a funeral attended by orthodox Jews in Brooklyn.
In light of the staggering number of violent anti-Semitic attacks perpetrated against orthodox Jews in New York, the community blasted de Blasio.
