The US-Israel relationship “got repaired as soon as I took the oath,” Trump stated.
Among the many topics discussed in this interview with the newly elected US president was his promise throughout the 2016 election campaign to fight radical Islamic terror and to repair what he considered his country’s damaged relationship with its ally Israel.
Responding to Fox News‘ Sean Hannity about the US-Israel relationship, Trump stated, “It’s repaired. It got repaired as soon as I took the oath… Israel has been treated very badly. We have a good relationship.
As for moving the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and reports that Trump froze a last-minute gift of $221 million to the Palestinian Authority before leaving office, the president declined to discuss these issues.
Trump said he also has a good relationship with Egypt and with Saudi Arabia and hopes to “get along with everybody, but it’s possible I won’t. There’s a lot of money spent by different countries on radicalizing people, and I don’t like that.”
