An Israeli startup has developed technology to maintain smart and autonomous vehicle safety in adverse weather and low-visibility conditions. 

TriEye Technologies is a semi-conductor company that has succeeded in solving the low-visibility challenge for the automotive market.

Ziv Livne, VP Business Development, explains the need to tackle one of the main challenges of today, which is driving through fog, dust and nighttime conditions.

The technology is already being implemented, he says, but mainly for security and defense, such as in the IDF. The problem, he adds, is that it is very expensive.

According to Livne, TriEye could create a high-resolution camera for that purpose for a fraction of the cost.
