Researchers at Tel Aviv University have developed a new, non-invasive method for discovering genetic disorders as early as 11 weeks into pregnancy.

Tel Aviv University researchers have designed a simple blood test to detect genetic disorders in fetuses during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Said to have a 99-percent accuracy level, it could replace the widely used, invasive amiotic fluid test, which itself poses risk to the mother and baby.
