There is a dire need for a solution to the face mask shortage caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which this Israeli startup hopes to alleviate with its innovative reuseable products.

While surgeons used to boil, wash, and reuse their masks, fear of contagion and the advent of disposable masks led to the end of reuseable medical-grade face masks.

That may be changing, however, due to the mask shortage caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic, with a 3-year-old Israeli startup seeking to introduce reuseable masks that use zinc oxide nanotechnology particles to block virus-causing germs.

While the company has already raised $2.6 million from the European Union, it needs $5 million to scale up production.
