While the coronavirus has caused people all over the world to experience loneliness related to quarantine and lockdown, it has disproportionately affected the elderly, who are at higher risk of serious illness from the virus.

Judaism mandates that treating the elderly with dignity and respect is paramount, so leaving them in such a situation is unacceptable.
