It finally arrived! The newest Israeli naval ship has docked at the Haifa port.

The Magen (Hebrew for ‘shield’) or Sa’ar 6 Corvette, is the shield for Israel’s most valuable maritime asset – natural gas fields in the eastern Mediterranean.

The IDF decided to incorporate this German-made warship five years ago.

It is equipped with the “naval dome” – the Iron Dome of the sea.
