US Vice-President Harris congratulated President Isaac Herzog on his new position and reiterated Washington’s commitment to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In June, Isaac Herzog became Israel’s 11th president after 119 Members of Knesset cast their ballots, 87 of them in his favor.

US Vice President Kamala Harris congratulated Israel’s new Head of State and expressed the Biden Administration’s commitment to the Jewish state’s security as well as to a two-state solution to the conflict with the Palestinian Arabs.

Herzog commended the Biden Administration’s choice of Emory Professor Deborah Lipstadt as America’s Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism.
