WATCH: Massive Brushfire Causes Evacuation of Community

Twenty firefighting teams rushed to the scene of a massive fire that spread through forests just outside Jerusalem, causing the evacuation of a nearby community.

This video shows the smoke rising as firefighting teams rushed to ensure that nobody would be harmed by a raging fire in the Jerusalem district. The Even Sapir moshav was evacuated as the fire made its way to several homes.

Fortunately, no one was harmed. Firefighters have not determined whether the fire was caused by the intense heatwave Israel is experiencing or whether it was an act of arson. The Fire Department reported that eight firefighting planes with flame retardant material were dispatched to assist the ground forces.
