The Israeli leader welcomed the passing of an anti-BDS resolution by an overwhelming majority, demonstrating partisan support for the Jewish state in the US.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a meeting with Israel’s Under-20 champion baskeball team, lauded the passing of a resolution at the US House of Representatives that defends Israel.
House Resolution 246, which opposes the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, received overwhelming bipartisan support, with 398 members voting in favor and 17 against.
The vote against BDS attests to the bipartisan support for Israel in the US, Netanyahu said.
