Last month, a Canadian businessman accused Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) in a sworn deposition of working for a foreign government, Qatar, which passed sensitive information to Iran.
Kuwaiti-born Alan Bender said in sworn testimony via video to a Florida court that Qatar’s Secretary to the Emir for Security Affairs Mohammad bin Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Masnad and two other senior Qatari officials gloated about Omar’s political success.
The deposition was obtained by Al Arabiya English and authenticated by the attorney for the plaintiffs.
Bender was subpoenaed in a lawsuit against the Qatari emir’s brother.
