Last week, Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas rejected demands to cease payments to associates of convicted terrorists.

In his remarks, he stated defiantly, “If we had only a single penny left, we would pay it to families of the martyrs and prisoners.”

Citing his “national obligation,” he committed to continuing the flow of payments even if it results in his removal from office.

The PA has a long provided convicted terrorists and their families with salaries for life as a “thank you” for their heinous acts.

The so-called “martyrs fund” is a major factor in the continued violence by Palestinians against Israelis.

No one should be rewarded for murder.
