Eli Kay’s grieving fiancee describes the victim’s love and devotion to the State of Israel and the Jewish People as well as his caring nature and ability to connect with others.
Eliyahu (Eli) David Kay, a 26-year-old new immigrant from South Africa, was murdered in a terror attack in the Old City of Jerusalem on Sunday morning.
Kay was the best of the best. After making Aliyah on his own, he served as an IDF ‘lone soldier’ in the paratroopers ‘brigade and continued to volunteer with Hashomer Hachadash (The New Guardian), helping to safeguard the land.
He was “the strongest person I’ve ever known… the smartest man I’ve ever met… very loving and accepting of everyone,” his tearful fiancée told Israeli media.
Fiancee of Eli Kay, may his memory be a blessing and may God avenge his blood, speaks about who Eli was as a person.
Eli was a real person who was murdered by Hamas for the simple reason that he was a Jew living in Israel. How does anyone justify this?pic.twitter.com/slkPoySIIp
