Rabbi and podcaster Aryeh Weinstein slammed the argument made by TV host Bassem Yousef on Piers Morgan Uncensored faulting Israel because more Palestinian Arabs have been killed in war than have Israelis.

Weinstein emphasized that morality in wartime situations “has nothing to do with numbers.” Rather, “It has to do with a presence that is a threat to innocents.” If such a presence is in the way of saving innocent life, he continued, it must be eliminated, “however large it may be.”

“The number does not matter.”

As such, he said, “If you have a group of people that are a part, by choice or not, of threatening innocent lives, that entire entity is a problem, and if it is necessary to eliminate them in order to save innocent lives, we are obligated to kill them.”
