The bizarre and clearly false conspiracies pedaled by one of Mahmoud Abbas’ closest advisors are even more terrifying in light of the influence he wields on the Palestinian leader.

Mahmoud Habbash is a senior Palestinian Authority (PA) official who serves as President Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs and as the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari’a Justice.

Habbash is also big proponent of certifiably insane conspiracies, such as his theory that the West invented the Islamic terror group ISIS, which he says serves to justify the existence of the Jewish state.
