Three important items in the Holy Temple were each manufactured from a single block of gold, with no option whatsoever to make the task easier: the trumpets, the Cherubim – those angel-like statues with children’s faces that were placed on the holy ark – and the Menorah, the seven-branched candelabra that is now the emblem of the State of Israel.
