Is there a connection between the Jewish dietary laws and the death of the two sons of Aaron the High Priest?

In this week’s Torah portion, Shemini (Leviticus 9:1 – 11:47), we read about the death of Aaron’s two oldest sons, Nadav and Avihu, who were killed by God during the dedication ceremony for the Tabernacle.

We also learn about the dietary laws of kashrut in the same Torah portion.

It is expected that there would be a connection between these two seemingly unrelated events.

Click below to learn about the relationship between the laws of kashrut and the death Nadav and Avihu as well as the important lesson it teaches us.
