“The US is committed to strengthening its strategic relationship with Israel. The administration is committed to Israel’s security and its right to self-defense,” Austin told Bennett.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met Wednesday with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon.

The discussion included regional, political and security issues, chief among them the Iranian threat.

Bennett stressed that alongside the strategic alliance between the United States and Israel, Israel will continue to assert its right to maintain its security superiority in the Middle East and will do whatever is required in this regard.
