This impassioned pro-Israel speech was reposted following the recent death of Congressman John Lewis, hailed as one of the greatest civil rights leaders of the past century.

American lawmaker and civil rights advocate John Lewis served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1987 until he passed away on July 17, 2020.

Several years ago, Lewis delivered an impassioned speech about the U.S. relationship with Israel, warning the Jewish state’s enemies, “If you touch Israel, we will TOUCH you!”

“If we fail to stand up for the State of Israel, G-d will not be kind to us,” Lewis continued.

While Lewis opposed the anti-Israel BDS movement, he did support the right to boycott Israel, a nation he visited on multiple occasions and hailed as the “only democratic state in the Middle East.”
