“If our enemies don’t care which synagogue we go to, why should we?” he asks
It was a timely statement, as this week leads up to Tisha b’Av, which commemorates the destruction of the first and Second Holy Temple. The Torah sages say that the latter as a result of sinat chinam – baseless hatred and division among the Jewish people.
