The IDF said the soldiers were killed when a building they were in was bombed. 19 others were reportedly also wounded in the explosion, 4 seriously.

According to the IDF, anti-tank missile attacks have increased in the past week.

The news comes after the IDF on Thursday night announced that five soldiers had been killed fighting in Lebanon.

According to an initial probe, the soldiers were killed fighting Hezbollah terrorists, who emerged from a tunnel and threw grenades at the troops.

In addition, Sgt. First Class Gai Ben-Haroosh, 23, a soldier in the Oketz canine unit from Pardes Hanna-Karkur, was killed on Thursday during fighting in southern Lebanon.

Thursday in Israel was the Jewish holiday of Simhat Torah, on which, exactly a year before according to the Hebrew calendar, the October 7 attacks took place.
