Outrageously, the International Red Cross is turning a blind eye to the conditions of the Israeli hostages. Demand that they take action and not ignore these innocent people!

By United with Israel Staff

On Saturday, October 7, during the Gaza-based Hamas terrorist organization’s surprise attack against the Jewish State, 1,300 Israelis were slaughtered and thousands wounded. Innocent civilians were tortured, dozens of babies were beheaded, entire families were murdered, and women were raped.

Not only that, over 200 were taken hostage, including infants and the elderly – among them Holocaust survivors.

Some are in dire medical condition. Families have no idea about their loved ones’ whereabouts or well-being during captivity under a sadistic group, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has likened to ISIS.

Yet, in a shocking statement, the International Red Cross is merely calling on “all parties to exercise restraint and to protect humanitarian workers and infrastructure.”

Outrageously, the IRC is turning a blind eye to the conditions of the Israeli hostages.

“The Red Cross is tasked with checking those being held captive in times of war and ensuring that they are being treated humanely and provided with appropriate medical care,” notes Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, director of Shurat HaDin- Israel Law Center, in a video urging people to demand that the IRC intervene on behalf of the hostages.

“The Red Cross is obligated to make every effort to visit the captives and directly ensure their safe treatment and rights. They have a responsibility to report to the families. But the Red Cross is refusing to carry out these duties” on behalf of the Israelis being held in Gaza, she states.

As if that isn’t appalling enough, the IRC appears to have lied. According to Darshan-Leitner, “When we approached them, they said they weren’t active in Gaza.”

Yet just an hour later, the IRC posted:

“During the darkest hours of our presence in Gaza, we never envisioned a scenario where two million civilians could possibly live through heavy bombing, deprived of water, food, electricity and medicines,” regarding the Palestinian residents of Gaza.

So, the Red Cross WAS in Gaza. But they didn’t check on the Israelis! Shame on them!

Here’s something we can all do!

Contact the International Red Cross and demand that they visit the Israeli hostages who include the elderly, women, children, and infants. Reports of rape, torture, abuse and brutality are rampant. Demand that the IRC does its job!

Here’s a sample message to copy and paste:

I am writing to you as a concerned citizen. We are demanding the IRC get involved after the inhumane massacres that have occurred in Israel. They need help immediately. We demand the IRC help the hostages- including women, children, babies, and elderly. There are rampant and verified accounts of rape, abuse, and torture and we must not stand for this as an international community. Please send Red Cross help immediately!
