Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, has returned to lead the Jewish state and vowed to serve all Israelis.

The Likud party has returned to power and its chairperson, Benjamin Netanyahu, was sworn in on Thursday afternoon.

Amid catcalls from the new opposition coupled with applause from his supporters, Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, told the Knesset that his three main objectives are: stopping the Iran nuclear program, developing state infrastructure, and strengthening law and order.

“I hear the constant cries of the opposition about the end of the country and democracy,” Netanyahu said.

“Losing elections isn’t the end of democracy — it’s the essence of democracy.”
