Over the past year, ISIS has slaughtered thousands, including 91 in the past month. Some were ISIS terrorists caught in an attempt to return to their home countries.
In the 14th month of its so-called caliphate, the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization has executed 91 people, including 39 of its own terrorists, the UK-based Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR) reported Sunday.
The 39 were reportedly murdered for a broad array of offenses, including, for example, alleged adultery, connections to “crusader” elements and inappropriate conduct not befitting an ISIS terrorist.
The 91 executions were carried out in different areas in Syria in the period from July 29 to August 29. ISIS slaughtered 32 civilians, including two women, 39 of its own terrorists, a journalist, 11 fighters among Syrian rebels and Islamist factions, and at least nine members of the Assad regime’s forces and allied militiamen, most of whom were beheaded.

According to SOHR’s count, since ISIS’ declaration of Islamic rule in June 2014, it has executed 3,156 soldiers, including its own members and terrorists from rival organizations, and 1,841 civilians, among them 76 children and 95 women, by shooting, beheading, stoning, throwing off high places and burning in the provinces under its control.
ISIS executed more than 930 Arab Sunni civilians belonging to the al- Shaitat tribe in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor; 223 Kurdish citizens, either by shooting or by bladed weapons in the city of Ayn al-Arab (Kobani) and the village of Barkh Botan; and 46 civilians by burning and beheading in the village of al- Mab’ojah, which is inhabited by people of the Alawi, Ismaeili and Sunni sects in the eastern part of the city of Salamiyyah, whom ISIS perceives as heretics.
In total, ISIS has murdered 182 members of its own terrorists for “exceeding the limits in religion and spying for foreign countries” over the past year, most of them after being arrested during an attempt to return to their countries of origin.
These numbers include only institutionalized executions, not deaths on the battlefield.

In the report, SOHR issued an appeal to the “UN Security Council (UNSC), all countries and organizations that claim the respect of human rights to work urgently in order to stop the crimes and violations committed against the Syrian people by ISIS, the Bashar al- Assad regime and all other parties, and to establish specialist courts to sentence them.”
The organization also called on the world to “support the Syrian people in order to reach to the state of freedom, democracy, justice and equality that preserves the rights of all components of the Syrian people regardless of their sects, religion and ethnicity, who have coexisted for better future for Syria, although there are some media campaigns that work on destroying the social structure of our home Syria.”
As things stand now, people living in the region have a long way to go before they can find the peace for which they are searching. In the meantime, thousands have found their death, while millions of others have fled and begun to roam the globe in search of a new place they can call home.
