Israeli prime minister discusses the IDF’s ‘powerful preventative attack’ against Hezbollah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday warned Hezbollah and Iran that Israel’s early-morning preventative action targeting sites in Lebanon “was not the end of the story.”
Earlier, the IDF said it had attacked sites preemptively in Lebanon, from which Hezbollah planned to launch rockets and missiles at Israel in an “extensive attack.”
“What happened today is not the end of the story,” Netanyahu said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting. “Hezbollah this morning tried to attack the state of Israel with rockets and UAVs. We instructed the IDF to execute a powerful preventative attack to remove the threat.”
He added that the IDF had destroyed “thousands of short-range missiles, all intended for harming our citizens and forces in the Galilee.”
“In addition, the IDF intercepted all the UAVs which Hezbollah launched at a strategic target in central Israel.”
“We are striking Hezbollah with surprising and crushing blows,” Netanyahu continued, noting how Israel three weeks ago had eliminated Hezbollah’s top military commander, “and today we thwarted its plan of attack.”
“Nasrallah in Beirut and Khamenei in Tehran need to know that this is another step on the way to changing the situation in the North, and bringing back our residents safely to their homes,” he said.
“And I repeat – this is not the end of the story.” Donate to vital charities that help protect Israeli citizens and inspire millions around the world to support Israel too!
