At least 7 teens, on a school field trip in the South, have died, and several others are missing as Israel gets hit by unseasonal storms and flooding.

Strong winter weather has arrived in Israel, covering Jerusalem and other mountainous areas in a thick blanket of snow. Other areas are being hit with heavy winds and lots of rain.

Israel is experiencing a much needed significant rainfall that is vital for maintaining sufficient water reserves. The amount of rain so far this season is ahead of the average rainfall for this point in the year.
