Bill Maher delivered a striking monologue, labeling the pro-Palestinian protesters as guilty of ‘selective outrage’ and addressed what he terms ‘gender apartheid’ which Maher argues should be the real priority.

Maher spotlighted the oppression faced by women in various Islamic countries and cited the ongoing protests in Iran, where women have been rebelling against the mandatory hijab since 2022 following the arrest and death of Mahsa Amini, who was detained for not wearing her hijab correctly.

He finished by stressing the importance of this issue saying, ‘This is what should be the social justice issue of your time, how about from the river to the sea, every woman shall be free?’
