A video on social media shows Syrian rebel fighters declaring, now that they have toppled the Assad regime in Syria, they have their sights on “liberating” Jerusalem and overthrowing the House of Saud.

“We entered Damascus and we entered the Umayyad Mosque.”

“Likewise Al Aqsa Mosque [Jerusalem] and likewise […] the Kaaba [Mecca] we will enter.”

After toppling the brutal regime of dictator Bashar al-Assad in Damascus on December 8, 2024, Syrian opposition-aligned fighter groups declared their next objectives: the “liberation of Jerusalem” and the destruction of the State of Israel.
