Hitler and Mufti of Jerusalem

In this video, Oren from the travelingisrael.com YouTube channel takes a look at the connection between the Nazis and the Arab world in the years before and during World War II. The connection is not widely publicized but is well documented.

Oren notes that the Nazis and Arab world were united in a common cause: hatred of Jews. Haj Amin Al Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, said, “Our fundamental condition for cooperating with Germany was a free hand to eradicate every last Jew from Palestine and the Arab world.”

At the same time, Hitler was fond of Islam, noting similarities between it and Nazi ideology. “The peoples of Islam will always be closer to us than, for example, France,” he said.
