The wave of Arab terror against Israel’s citizens continued Sunday night as an Arab terrorist stabbed an Israeli Jew in the back in Jerusalem. He was on his way to pray at the Western Wall.

A 35-year-old Israeli Jew was stabbed in the back with a screw driver Sunday evening in the Old City of Jerusalem. He was on his way to pray at the Kotel (Western Wall).

The assailant fled the scene, and the victim continued walking until he found a group of Border Policemen. He was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Hospital, where he was treated for moderate wounds. Police launched a manhunt for the terrorist.

Al-Aqsa TV, the official Hamas-run channel, issued a statement shortly after the attack in which the terrorist organization praised the attack, claiming it was a “natural response to the occupation’s crimes.”

This attack is the latest in a string of terror incidents that claimed the lives of six Israelis over the past five weeks, with the previous two attacks occurring last Monday. IDF soldier Almog Shilony, 20, was stabbed to death in Tel Aviv, and Dalia Lemkus, 26, was hit by a terrorist driving a car before being stabbed to death in Gush Etzion. Two other Israelis were wounded in the same attack.

Abbas Continues to Incite

Police were successful in thwarting several attacks, but as the incitement orchestrated by the Palestinian Authority continues, so do the terror attacks.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated Sunday that while he was working to restore peace in the capital, Abbas was continuing to incite to violence and fanning the flames of hatred.

How You Can Help Israel and Jerusalem

Israel’s sovereignty in Jerusalem, its capital, has come under increased attack in past weeks. We need to stand together and show the world that Jerusalem is not some bargaining chip in border negotiations or a rally point for terrorists. It is a Holy City meant to provide a beacon of light to all nations under the sovereignty of Israel.
