The vicious, anti-Semitic Palestinian incitement is endless. In a most recent incident, an influential Muslim leader in Jerusalem called for the massacre of the Jews.

Sheik Omar Abu Sara, a Palestinian preacher, called to slaughter the Jews, whom he described as “the most evil of Allah’s creations.”

At the famous Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, Abu Sara delivered a spontaneous sermon, which was published by MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute), stating that “talking about the traits of the Jews requires one to get into a special mode, because we are dealing with people to whom every single vile trait has been attributed. They were the masters of these vile traits, and they taught their secrets to others.”

These negative Jewish traits are registered in the Quran, which depicted all aspects of the lives of the Jews “in the most abominable images,” Abu Sara said.

“These traits are the same today as they were in the days of yore, nay, they have become even more vile and evil with the development of means of crime and corruption in this day and age. By Allah, the Jews are the most evil of Allah’s creations. They are the most evil creatures to have walked this earth,” he continued.

“They are the slayers of prophets. Ibn Al-Qayyim said that they had killed seventy prophets in one day, and that they had killed a total of over 10,000 prophets. They tried to kill our Prophet Muhammad twice, as far as we know.”

These accusations echo an ancient blood libel, according to which the Jewish people as a whole were responsible for the death of Jesus. This doctrine was officially repudiated by the Roman Catholic Church in the 1960s, but it was the catalyst for centuries of persecution and murder of Jews.

“It was the Jews whom Allah turned into apes and pigs, and afflicted with degradation and humiliation,” Abu Sara declared.

After setting the proper atmosphere, Abu Sara translated his anti-Semitism into a call for violence.

“We are living in a time when the battle with the Jews has drawn near, as our Prophet Muhammad was reported to have said: ‘You fight the Jews until the trees and the stones will say, ‘Oh servant of Allah, oh Muslim, there is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him.’”

Hitler, too, had spoken of an epic and global battle between the Jews and the Aryans.

In an apparent appeal to the Islamic State (IS or ISIS) terror group for assistance, Abu Sara proclaimed: “I say to the Jews loud and clear [that] the time for your slaughter has come. The time to fight you has come. The time to kill you has come. Allah willing, we are ready for the task – we and the loyal and faithful Muslims, along with the armies of the state of the Islamic Caliphate, which will come to liberate this land from your filth.”

ISIS, on its part, has fixed its sights specifically on Israel, vowing to fly its flag in Jerusalem.”The flag of the Caliphate will rise over Baytul-Maqdis (Jerusalem) and Rome, even if the Jews and Crusaders despise such,” ISIS clearly stated in its magazine Dabiq.

“We await the day – nay, the very moment – of your slaughter. We are ready. By Allah, we are. Do your worst. The balance of power is tipped in your favor. Go ahead and kill! Go ahead and slaughter! Stones, trees, and humans suffer at your hand. Please do not leave in our hearts a single grain of mercy towards you, oh Jews, because when the day of your slaughter arrives, we shall slaughter you without mercy,” Abu Sara continued to rant.

Eager Support From the Crowd

One might have hoped that this was the raving of a lone madman, but the crowd listening to the diatribe answered “Amen.”

“Oh Allah, hasten the day of the slaughter of the Jews,” Abu Sara exclaimed, and the crowd again answered “Amen.”

Abu Sara continued to pray for the slaughter of Jews, the “cleansing” of Al-Aqsa from their “filth” and the hastening of the establishment of the state of the Islamic Caliphate. To all these, the crowd showed enthusiasm and answered “Amen.”

Not the First Time

This incitement to violence is not an isolated incident among Palestinian Arabs. Last month MEMRI documented Ali Abu Ahmad, a Palestinian preacher at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, who prayed for the annihilation of Israel, America and its coalition, which is fighting the Islamic State terrorists.
