Video Shows Traumatizing Effects of Missiles on Students

Children in Southern Israel suffer whenever they hear the code red siren go off. It is very difficult for them to be in a classroom and then suddenly need to duck underneath their desk or to be forced to run into a safe room in the middle of the night. At times, when children witness the destruction caused by qassam rocket attacks, it is even more devastating, for witnessing such wanton violence and aggression is very traumatic, yet especially for children. In this video, Israeli children describe how they feel when they saw qassam rockets land near to them. An art therapist who works with children spoke about how she notices real regressions in Israeli children’s welfare as a result of living under a constant bombardment of qassam rocket attacks.
