Spread over 3000 acres in southern Israel’s Arava desert, this unique nature reserve is home to endangered animal species, including some mentioned in the Bible.

The Yotvata Hai-Bar Nature Reserve was established to foster the breeding of animals mentioned in the Bible and other endangered desert animals.

Situated in the Southern Arava near Kibbutz Yotvata, 35 kilometers (just under 22 miles) north of the resort city of Eilat, this unique reserve is now home to endangered and locally extinct animal species that are bred there for possible reintroduction to the Negev desert.
