A Canadian beautician running for city council in Ontario was recorded saying Zionists “must be locked up” and calling them terrorists, remarks she later sought to clarify as referring to people who support killing civilians and violating international law.
Rasha Zaid, who cooperates with the activist group Windsor4Palestine and is running for Ontario’s Ward 4 district, made the remarks while speaking at a demonstration.
“Every person that announces they are a Zionist must be locked up! They are terrorists,” Zaid said in the video.
“We are not free until they’re not among us,” she added.
Zaid later sought to distance herself from the comments, saying she had been referring to people who, in her view, support the killing of civilians and violations of international law, rather than everyone who identifies as a Zionist.

Additional videos shared by the X account Leviathan, however, showed Zaid making other sweeping statements about Zionists during protests.
In one video, she led demonstrators in chants of “All the Zionists are racists! All the Zionists are the terrorists!”
Leviathan also published screenshots it attributed to Zaid’s social media accounts containing additional claims about Zionism and antisemitism.
One of the images, labeled “The Zionist Cycle,” claimed that antisemitism and major attacks are staged to generate international sympathy and provide justification for military action.
Another post attributed to Zaid’s account contained the assertion, “There is no such thing as antisemitic [sic].”
Zaid is seeking a seat representing Ward 4 in Ontario while cooperating with Windsor4Palestine. Her comments about Zionists were made during demonstrations, while the additional posts and videos were subsequently circulated by Leviathan on X.
