Anti-Semitic hatred exploded in Bulgaria as violent fans chased the Ashdod Israeli soccer team off the field, causing the match to be cancelled.

In the first minute of stoppage time, with the Israeli Ashdod team leading 1-0 against Bulgaria’s CSKA, chaos erupted. An Ashdod player had launched a hard tackle, resulting in a red card. This caused the Bulgarian fans to go wild, tossing bottles onto the field before fans charged out towards the Israeli players.

The Ashdod team was forced to retreat, fearing for their safety. In the video, you can actually see players being attacked by the crazed fans, especially at the end, when one player didn’t leave quickly enough. Could there have been any plausible reason for this eruption of violence or was it just plain and dirty anti-Semitism?
