WATCH: Meet an IDF Soldier Who Caught Palestinian Gun Smugglers

Listen as an IDF soldier tells her story about how her battalion stopped weapons from entering Israel.

Sgt. Amit, from the Lions of the Jordan Battalion, an IDF co-ed unit, helped catch weapons smugglers who were trying to pass five M-16 rifles and 20 pistols from Jordan into Israel.

The Lions of the Jordan Battalion, in cooperation with Israeli intelligence, no doubt prevented a large-scale attack, or series of attacks, that could have seen hundreds of Israeli civilians killed and wounded.

Amit, who coordinates communications with the Battalion Commander and participated in the operation, said of her experience, “It was challenging, and we were working around the clock. It shows that patience pays off.”
